Imperial War Museum - Space Planning Workshop
21st of August saw the first of two workshops at the rather wonderful Daniel Libeskind building at Trafford, very near Manchester. Wonderful from the outside but rather constrained and constricting on the inside. Libeskind has made a habit of creating architectural spaces which from an architectural point of view are memorable and slightly disturbing but which one operational or exhibition development perspective can be difficult. After 10 great years the Imperial War Museum North is re-looking at the main space and the purpose of the workshop was to examine all possibilities for future reconfiguration.
