Heartlands 2008

The Site in 2008. Derelict. Listed Grade II* but in a very poor state. We were keen that the artefacts and buildings be recorded as they were. Part of the creative treatment was to use these survivals, built and manufactured, as part of the exhibition design. They were also used as a palette of materials for the overall architectural response to the challenge of bringing the site back to life.
